I have a new mystery...I noticed getting to the 20 mile and beyond that there are new factors to consider. One is the hip soreness. But the thing is that I have had problems with chaffing now, which is a new thing to me. I guess the mileage and sweat combination are taking its toll. Thighs, toes, nips and my arm where I hold the ipod strap on my arm.
I think I need a visit to the running store for some lube.
I went shirtless a few days ago for a 10k and believe it or not, when I got back, my nipples were feeling sore n chaffed! What? A strange mystery, since there was nothing but wind touching! Theories?

Sunburn maybe?
lol! could be...i need to sunscreen there>>!? I guess that is TMI and news to me to boot!
Perhaps it's wind burn. Apparently you'd need to be running at greater than 35kms/h for that to take effect. Were you running that fast?!
Alternatively you may have been running in the twightlight zone. Watch out for the nipple rubbing pixies!
HAHAHAHAHA
THATS what those twinges were!
Body Glide is my friend. My very good friend.
"GONE WHERE NO PERSON HAS GONE BEFORE..."
That kind of good friend eh.
Soak you nipples in an epsom bath, then use 60 grit sandpaper to remove loose chaff, and follow up this with vinegar. Your nipples will toughen. A local anesthetic applied before and during the run will also be helpful. You should log onto the nursing mothers websites for ideas.

HAHAHAHA,
Ya "B", thanks for the tips for the nips. I wonder who this mysterious person is....none other than someone who is a liner of my spiner. Foro those who are reading this wondering what the h*&^ he's saying, that would be a strong hint I know this person as I run past his house many times a month. :P
Hi there, thanks for stopping by my blog. You are right, not many runners from my side of the world blogging. Chaffing certainly comes with longer distances. Body Glide, Vaseline and Band Aid for the nipples.
Hey Johann, my cluster finder doesnt even show you! (Bottom of page) How exciting to interact with someone so very far away from where i wrote this. Im betting Canadian runs a re a bit different than African Runs. I would love to try it out to see! Thanks for the tips, too!
