First timeI had brought my stop watch in a long while. 43:10 for my 10 k, and that was me pushing pretty hard. Another thing to look back on and be glad for in the last two years is to think that certain goals were impossible. Fo rme right now, I would love to crack the 40 minute 10 k. A difficult endevour, but I know I can do it. I use to think runnign past a 1/2 hour was a huge feat. There is always someone who trumps your efforts, and always someone just starting and needing encouragement. I find it a funny mix of humbling to know you will never be right on top in front, but that you can do fa better than you ever thought if you apply yourself!

Very true on applying yourself. My goal for the 10k is under an hour. That would be cool. Great Post Chad, and someday you WILL get under 40 minutes.
Thanks, Merry Christmas! My long run is tomorrow! Got any new gear lately?
Thanks too, and Merry Christmas.
Tomorrow, I will be picking up new shoes. Mine should have been retired long ago. THen I will have better traction. (Kayano 15) I will also get some running gloves and mittens for on top ( I hear they work out good together for layers to keep your hands warm.) Other than that, I have been running on the treadmill. I do not want to head out ill equiped. Well, take it easy. Later
that's a sweet time on a 10K, cool!
Thanks Darrell. Aiming for that illusive sub 40... one day... but I hate speed work. I think iwill have to work on my hatred.
Kenley, FYI, gloves are very versitile. I have a friend who shall remain nameless. (you know who you are...) who one day creatively used his glove... uh, down there... to kee his appendage that shall not be named toasty. I just hope he washed it after like his mommy taught him.
There is a product idea! A weiner cozy!
I am still at the feeling good about just my 30 minute runs. I am okay with that though :)
Way to go Chad you can hit that goal soon I am sure.
Oh my, why didn't he (hopefully he) just use a sock or something. Your comment on this made me laugh my butt off. Just got back from picking up my new kayano 15s and I bought a pair of asics running gloves. Not thin, but not too thick. Good if I want to put a mitten on top of it. And no, Im not trying them out down there. lol. have a good one.
Ya talk about your "stocking Stuffer!!!!" HAHAHA. He was in the middle of a run and was getting chilled. :D
NIce shoes, I have never tried them.
