No Line On the Horizonis a pretty good album, and I listen to it on my ipod on my runs. I have just recently however, aquired a new album from them, its called "Artificial Horizon" and is the remix versions of songs like "Get On Your Boots", "Elevation", and "Ill Go Crazy If I Dont Go Crazy Tonite" are intensely driving and keep my pace quick. Great album for running too for sure. I would like to hear any other albums you listen to to keep motivated, keep your pace intense or just like to hear. Look it up to order here.

Gluteus Minimus Sore
Due for a long runjust now, but as I crept down the stairs I felt an ache in my glute. Went to the chiropractor a few weeks ago and he diagnosed something different to do with my gluteus minimus this time. I will be taking it easy and stretching and foam rolling. He noted by hips and rotators were limited in range of motion. I want to avoid prerace injury so I will be visiting him again.
Here it is:

Am I 200 meters short???!
Have I beenout of it the last long while? I run the same route for my 10 km usually each day along a hike bike trail. I had originally mapped out the route on my bike to figure out the 5 km turn around point. Upon looking at the Map My Run, Daily Mile etc, I now look at the terrain, and the marker on the trail is not visible so I cant be sure, but it looks like I have been 100 or so meters short on my 5 k turnaround! I cant zoom in far enough to recognize the house I always pass! This would be so discouraging for my times I have been killing myself to think I am achieving! Has this ever happened to anyone?? Maybe Map My run has the distance off?

10 k training
Today's 10 km Time : 41:22I am effectively beating my best of last year in prep for the Oliver 10 km in April. I am hoping adrenaline and training will get me under 40 minutes, but that is also hoping no injury occurs, which in my tendency in pre-race prep. I will be massaging, stretching and making an appointment for some massage. I am happy with my progress, and I am thinking minus 5 lbs will get me to that under 40 minutes goal. It will however, be painful and possibly make me puke.

Caffeine is Normal
After three weeks of being off caffeine altogether, I am so excited to say, i am back on the wagon! NOw, i will be limiting myself, so that I keep my jitters to a minimum, however I think it is a good thing to keep this drink in my life. Reason one: I feel like I function better with caffeine in me. I have more motivation, am more intense, I run faster and I feel more alert. All good. Too muchof a good thing, of course is a thing to watch, but i am excited to feel back to normal. I never, ever nap, but whilst off coffee, I found myself srifting off at ludicrously early times. 7 pm, ZZZZZZZZ... I realize, I need to have a kick here and there. So cheers to moderate stimulant use. :D
